As I have loved you, so you must love one another.”  He also predicts that Peter will deny Him three times  (parallel passages:  Matt. 26:31-35; Mark 14:27-31; Luke 22:31-38 ).

John 14:1-16  John 14:33  Jesus delivers a long, extended farewell to His disciples.  He tells them He is going to prepare a place for them,  John 14:3-4  promises to send the Holy Spirit to guide them after He is gone,  John 14:16-18  John 14:26  John 16:7-13  encourages them to abide in Him as the true vine,  John 15:1-8 and assures them that the persecution they will experience in the world will be bearable since He has overcome the world.  John 16:32-33
